The roller production process varies according to their diameter. We classify small rollers, also called pins or needles, and larger ones called shafts.
For rollers with a diameter less than 12.00 mm, we favor cutting a rolling steel or stainless steel wire.
For shafts with a diameter greater than 12.00 mm, we machine bars to obtain a blank.
These parts will then follow the same production process to achieve the customer’s desired dimensions. We will rework the radii using barrel milling. A heat treatment will achieve the desired hardness. The diameter and faces will be reworked through several grinding stages, allowing us to achieve high precision on our parts. Inspections during and at the end of production allow us to guarantee parts that meet the specifications defined with the customer.
