Our rollers and needles can be made in a variety of materials: most commonly 100Cr6 bearing steel, but also sometimes 420C stainless steel (more rarely 440C stainless steel).
Needles can have flat ends (NRB) or round ends (NRA).
Our rollers can have standard, rounded, or logarithmic profiles, depending on the intended use.
Needles and rollers also meet quality requirements and standards. It is therefore possible to categorize these products by grade based on their compliance with tolerances on diameter, length, roundness, and roughness.
The choice of material will depend on the use of the roller or needle.
- 100Cr6 bearing steel is suitable for applications requiring high hardness, but in a dry or oiled environment.
- AISI 420C stainless steel allows the rollers or needles to be used in a more damp environment, while maintaining significant hardness.
In some cases, we can use other materials depending on the desired quantities.
